Privacy notice

The data practices of the current account-free Freelancer Insurance Desk website.

Effective 10 October 2026. This notice describes the current educational edition.

Publication and contact

Freelancer Insurance Desk is an educational web publication for independent professionals in the United States and United Kingdom. It does not sell, arrange or quote insurance, take claims notifications or provide personalised advice.

A public privacy contact has not yet been designated. This is an outstanding publisher detail; no working contact channel is implied by this notice.

What the website does

The website serves static pages using Google Firebase Hosting. It has no accounts, purchase process, quote application, contact form, comments or newsletter signup. It does not ask visitors to submit personal or insurance information.

Checklists and browser storage

Checklist selections remain in temporary page memory. They are not transmitted to the publisher, written to local storage or stored in cookies by this website’s code. Reloading or leaving the page clears them.

Hosting and technical information

Delivering a page involves network requests to Google’s hosting infrastructure. Google may process technical and service information, including IP addresses, under its applicable terms and privacy practices. See Firebase’s privacy and security information and Google’s privacy policy.

This website does not add an application-level request database or visitor profile. Provider-side processing and retention are separate from the site’s temporary checklist state; this notice does not claim that no technical data is processed.

Advertising and analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept optional analytics. It measures page visits and interactions, browser/device information, approximate location and referral information using Google services and first-party identifiers. We use this to understand readership and improve guides. We do not configure advertising personalisation, Google signals or user IDs. Analytics requests may involve processing outside your country; see Google’s privacy policy. Rejecting analytics leaves the guides fully available and sends no analytics requests before consent. Use Cookie settings at any time to withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future collection; it does not erase information already processed. The Google Analytics property’s data-retention setting must still be confirmed by the publisher. Google AdSense and its Privacy & messaging service are loaded separately from optional Analytics. They may process IP address, device and browser information, consent choices and advertising identifiers. Advertising depends on approval, account settings and applicable choices. Google’s European regulations message provides advertising choices for eligible visitors; its privacy and cookie settings link allows those choices to be revisited. Advertising consent is separate from the Analytics choice. See how Google uses information from partner sites.

Retention and rights

No checklist or form-submission database is maintained by this implementation. We do not state a provider-side retention period that has not been verified. Applicable privacy rights depend on jurisdiction and processing; the publisher’s public contact channel remains to be completed as stated above.
